§ Conduct tissue culture experiments including accurate preparation of media reagents and components and maintenance of established commercial cell lines and/or patient cells.
§ Process and dissociate patient samples, both from blood and solid sources, for downstream experiments.
§ Perform drug treatments for cell culture; reconstitution and preparation of drug stocks as well as preparation of drug treatments using an automated liquid handling system.
§ Carry out cell viability assays using a microplate reader.
§ General laboratory tasks, including maintenance of laboratory work area, equipment and updating inventory.
Adhere to laboratory safety, quality controls and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
§ Preferred bachelor’s degree in biology or related field.
§ Applicants with basic tissue culture techniques. Prior experience processing patient samples is an advantage.
§ Willingness to learn different instruments and programs in the laboratory.
§ Able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
§ Able to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
§ Applicant must be willing and able to work on a flexible work schedule (Monday-Friday) and some weekends, to meet demands of our clinical laboratory.
