Why You Will Rock This Job
- You’ve got a diploma/degree in a Design-related field
- 5 years of Event/Exhibition design experience and absolutely no shame about your caffeine addiction.
- You are hypercritical of mediocre design in your work and others. You know that design is not just about how it looks, but how it works.
- You’re extremely enthusiastic about upgrades and plugins for your beloved software - 3D Studio Max, AutoCAD, Photoshop and Illustrator. It’s almost creepy.
- You’ve got an overactive imagination that allows you to envision and execute stage and exhibit design in 3D, drawing upon deep knowledge of fabrication techniques and standards.
- Never-ending requests to tweak, bump, shift it to the left and make it ‘POP’ does not make you want to hurt someone.
- You obsessively bookmark inspiration sites and save rejected designs to help you spark future concepts.
- Ten bonus points if you’re handy with a drawing pencil and napkin.
Your Path to Stardom
- Embark on deep relationships with the events team through the journey from conceptualization to production.
- Be the smooth talker at internal/client meetings to bring your visual interpretation of event and exhibition concepts to life.
- Produce quality renders, sketches, graphics, and perspectives that help us nail pitches, wow audiences and win awards.
- Make it look easy to multitask by juggling multiple deadlines and projects.
