Responsibilities:
- Loading, unloading, transportations & delivery items to clients or business in a safe & timely manner.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
- Plan routes with delivery schedules
- Document and log work/rest periods and kilometres spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
- To back up duties of other driver as when necessary
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Ahere to safety requirement while on the job.
- Any other jobs assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Requires valid Class 3/Class 4 license.
- Proven work experience as a lorry driver
- Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, Waze etc)
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
- Able to work under pressure
- No recent moving or driving violations
