We are seeking an experienced Senior Communications and Public Relations Manager to lead the external communications and public relations strategy and execution for Elevandi and our various platforms and products.
This is a newly created role for a communications leader ready to take up the challenge of shaping the narrative of a young startup, enhancing our brand awareness, and heading our PR strategy. You'll lead on media relations for Elevandi and our key event platforms, manage our PR agency, craft communications to drive business growth and build and grow a network of journalists and influencers.
Job Description
● Public Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key media publications and journalists in markets where Elevandi operates.
- Pitch and manage interviews for Elevandi spokespeople and secure media coverage for Elevandi initiatives
- Craft press releases, bylines, FAQs, speeches, media invites and fact sheets among others
- Organise press conferences and media events
- Manage external PR agency
- Track, measure and report the impact of media coverage on Elevandi’s business goals
● Strategic communications:
- Work with corporate leaders to develop and execute corporate communications plan and initiatives, key messaging and corporate narrative.
- Craft communications to drive business growth. This could include corporate decks and brochures, website copy, blog posts, and sales collateral among others.
- Reputation monitoring and management among Elevandi’s key stakeholders
● Crisis communication:
- Craft and manage crisis comms plan for Elevandi’s event platforms
Our Ideal Candidate:
● Minimum 8 years of public relations, communications or journalism experience (Agency or in-house)
● A bachelor’s degree in English, communications, or journalism
● Exceptional writing and copy-editing skills across multiple formats
● A creative communicator and storyteller who enjoys building strong and durable networks
● A team player and collaborator who is able to manage multiple stakeholders, and work in a cross-functional team.
● A leader and proactive contributor to the organisation
● Experience in FinTech or Financial Services, and an understanding of its trends and key players is preferred, but not a prerequisite.
