About the role
We are looking for a Finance Business Partner Lead for our Commercial Copper division in Singapore. The role is a fantastic opportunity to work with multiple stakeholders to provide advice to the business and support the development and execution of strategic decision-making.
Reporting to the GM Finance Business Partner Commercial, you will be responsible for:
Drive performance management by providing commercial and financial insight to
- Provide actionable insights into top-line, bottom-line, and cash performance, through the production of a wide range of financial analysis.
- Identify opportunities and risks, and pro-actively make recommendations.
- Enabling leadership to hold the organization to account, monitor progress against plan, and challenge variances.
- Enabling proper support costs budgeting and management for the business in conjunction with Controllership.
Contribute to the development of business strategy, planning and
- Influence senior management in shaping commercial strategies, and priorities and delivering outcomes.
- Partner with Market Analysis and Business Analysis to collaborate on major investments and support significant commercial negotiations.
- Modeling financial plans and forecasts for the business.
Support risk management and assurance
- Together with Commercial Risk, identifying risks for new initiatives (e.g., trading, partnerships, and other customer initiatives).
- Enabling the efficiency and effectiveness of associated governance and compliance processes relevant to our businesses (including SOX and audits).
Drive change initiatives and transformation in Finance
- Support a range of commercial and group projects.
- Identify efficiency gains and performance improvements.
- Uses best practices and knowledge of internal and external business environments to provide advice to the business and improve processes and performance.
- Develop finance capability within the business: Work with the Group to ensure fit-for-purpose systems, processes, KPIs, reporting, planning, and forecasting.
- Manage and develop junior FBPs.
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- University degree qualifications.
Strong analytical skills to contribute and support strategic and forward thinking. - 10+ years of finance experience (e.g., CFA, MBA, CA), ideally with exposure to commodities.
- Experience effectively managing a wide range of stakeholders and building relationships.
- Strong background in influencing and working with diverse teams in a matrix model.
- Drive for continuous improvement, value creation, and risks.
