What an Intern - Analytical Chemist does at HP:
- Design Analytical Chemistry solutions for Ink processes development, technologies, and formulations for product design and manufacturing based on established chemistry and engineering principles and in accordance with development technology practices and guidelines.
- Applies Analytical Chemistry knowledge in any of the area on “Chromatography, Spectroscopy, Elemental Analysis and Thermal material measurement” to develop test methods to solve complex ink analysis request within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives.
- Develop/Optimization of test methods that best fit our Ink Chemistry analysis.
- Apply good/safe laboratory practices to conduct experiments.
- Implement analytical test plans for new and existing products; assists manufacturing partners with issue diagnosis and problem-solving.
- Collaborate and communicate with management, internal, and outsourced research and development partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution.

- Singapore Ink Operation is expanding its capability to setup an ink development team in Singapore, Tuas Location. A part of the team is Ink analytical lab where we perform chemistry analysis to support to our R&D team & our Ink production plant. We are looking for potential intern candidates with the following skillsets to join our exiting new journey.
- Masters/PhD degree in Analytical Chemistry or Chemistry .
- Able to commit from May/June-Dec 2024.
- Academic experience with and understanding of chemistry concepts, practices, and laboratory procedures.
- Strong understanding and experience in designing test methods and associated analytical tooling processes.
- Ability to effectively communicate analytical findings and recommended solutions to various stakeholders.
- Must have experience in any tools related to Chromatography (LC-MS/GC-MS/GPC/CE), Spectroscopy (FTIR/TGA), Elemental Analysis (ICP-OES) and Thermal material (TGA/DSC) measurement and precision hands on in the area of sample preparation.
- Positive & Can-Do attitude with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Independent to work on project and a good team player to share/contribute findings.
