Overall Job Purpose


Develops and maintains appropriate project risk management procedures, processes and tools in compliance with the Company risk management framework and policy.



Core Responsibilities:

  1. Leads the development and implementation of project risk management controls, through tools, guides, processes, procedures, and systems for organization in order to manage threats and opportunities effectively for an assigned project or multiple projects.
  2. Support Project Control Managers and project teams during the preparation and facilitation of project risk workshops.
  3. Plans and conducts audits of policy and compliance to standards, including liaison with internal and external auditors (where applicable)
  4. Provides support, education, and training to staff to build risk awareness within the organization
  5. Consolidates all project risk registers into one database and updates and maintains all data for further analysis and reference
  6. Provides regular organization risk status reports to management and performs data analytics to maximize end-to-end Life Cycle Value (LCV)
  7. Supports Proposal and FEED projects (when assigned) on Risk management activities during bids and proposals to facilitates the definition of risk contingencies and risk response actions
  8. Collaborate with Project Control teams (Project Controls Manager, Planners and Cost Controllers) to prepare and perform Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) to model Risk exposure and determine cost and schedule contingencies.
  9. Collaborate with Project MOC coordinator and relevant stakeholders to assess impacts and risks from associated change/s.
  10. Standardization procedures / reports/templates across projects
  11. Facilitate in creating practical solutions based on knowledge and experience of field execution and/or corporate workflow processes
  12. Facilitate alignment with Project team members, Functional members, and Subject Matter Expert (SMEs) to evaluate and develop effective risk strategies
  13. Able to explain complex issues and present information clearly and coherently

Requirements:

  1. Over 8 years experience in a project related field in a similar environment or 5 years of direct Risk Management experience at Project or Enterprise level (an added advantage).
  2. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Management, and/or any other relevant field of studies.
  3. Risk management related certification from a recognized Association e.g. PMIRMP, RIMS-CRMP, PRM, PMP, PRINCE2 is an added advantage
  4. Experience in championing and driving improvements into an organization through process changes
  5. Strong analytical skills and logical thinking
