Our client, a leading manufacturer and supplier of automated logistics and material handling solutions, is looking for suitable talents to join their growing business as Control Service Engineer.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare/assist with development of functional specifications.
- Prepare/assist with budget costing.
- Conformance to OHS&E standards in the design and execution of all work.
- Preparation of schematic drawings, PLC programs and configuration of operator interfaces.
- Preparation of manufacturing and installation specifications.
- Planning and supervision of major controls installations.
- Manage the procurement of parts, the manufacture of cabinets and the electrical installation.
- Testing and commissioning.
- Preparation of test plans and operator & technical manuals.
- Provide training of client personnel.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance or repair of Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS), Order Fulfilment (OFS) and Sortation systems.
- Resolve within a reasonable time any equipment faults and ensure quality of work.
- Report faults in a timely manner to Service Manager.
- Identification and reporting of health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries and property damage at the workplace.
- Compliance with workplace policies and procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control.
- Active participation in activities associated with the management of workplace health and safety.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering field
- Minimum 5 years of service experience in control engineering / industrial automation (conveyors) / maintenance of plant/machinery/material handling equipment
- Experience in electrical drawings design (EPLAN, EEC One, AutoCAD)
- Experience interfacing materials handling systems with third party equipment’s (e.g. automatic tag readers, barcode scanners, weigh scales etc.)
- Experience in PLC software development and office testing, particularly Siemens S7 and SCADA WinCC
- Knowledge of configuration, programming and commissioning of PLCs, variable speed drives and safety devices
- Experience in development of testing environments and conducting FATs
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
- Understanding of OH&S requirements
- Ability to work in isolation, make decisions and be results driven
OTHER INFORMATION:
- Location : 90% customer site at Jurong East/West area + 10% office at East
- Working hours : Monday – Friday, Office Hours
- Salary: Up to S$7,000 ; Salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications
