- Assess the external environment for the trade lane market (competition, economic & industry trends, technology and innovation trends, survey market developments and determine customer needs in alignment with regions) and define competitive position (assess competitors’ products and growth potential)
- Initiate communication on products and draft Trade Lane development strategy (both short term and long term)
- Align with product and procurement in order to match product and trade lane demands
- Increase Trade Lane volumes between countries as per agreed budget
- Increase lead share, interaction and activity on a daily basis for the Trade lane
- Develop standard operating procedures, structure and implement new trade lane(s) (between Europe and ANZ route)
- Design, implement LCL, Air Products by negotiating with internal and external customers
- Understand minimum selling margin, cost structures and ensure these have been communicated to stakeholders
- Develop and run advertising and promotion campaigns in cooperation with local marketing/corporate communications
- Plan and carry out direct sales activities to attain new accounts in accordance with agreed sales and business plans
- Develop new and prospective customers while maintaining existing accounts
- Complete an in-depth needs analysis for the client and identify areas of the business where value added services can be provided to optimise the organization’s supply chain and logistics function
Requirements
- Understanding and experience of freight forwarding market
- Proven track record of identifying and securing new business opportunities
- Understanding of specific Company products and solutions highly regarded
- HSC minimum qualified
- Degree qualified preferable
- Ability to build and maintain relationships
- Highly engaging, innovative and ability to find solutions for the customer
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong influencing, assertiveness and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
- Persistent, determined and has the resilience to achieving challenging goals
