NTUC Health Co-operative Limited (NTUC Health) is an NTUC social enterprise that provides a comprehensive and integrated suite of quality and affordable health and eldercare services to meet the growing needs of families and their dependents. Building on more than four decades of experience and expertise, NTUC Health is among the largest senior day care, nursing home and home personal care providers in Singapore. It also offers other services for seniors such as an active ageing hub, senior activity centres, community support for vulnerable seniors, and a sheltered / senior group home. In addition, it runs a chain of dental clinics, and a family medicine clinic.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Exercise Trainer will be responsible for conducting fitness programmes for seniors under NTUC Health’s Active Ageing Services.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Conducting fitness classes
- Conduct fitness programmes for seniors
- Receive training on new fitness programmes that will be introduced regularly
- Conduct pre- and post-programme assessments for clients
- Attend to walk-in customers
- Maintain a safe, hygienic and conducive environment
- Maintain client records and mark attendance in the system
2. Admin and others
- Participate in marketing/promotional activities to promote NTUC Health’s active ageing services
- Maintain inventory of equipment used for exercise programmes
- Participate in team meetings and other operational tasks as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Technical/ Professional:
- WSQ Certificate / Advance Certificate in Therapy Services, or Certificate or Diploma in related Sports, fitness training or related fields
- At least 2 years of experience conducting fitness classes
General:
- Lively personality with engaging communication skills
- Comfortable with change and new programmes
- First aid certified
- Experience working with elderly clients
OTHER INFORMATION
- Required to travel islandwide to cover duties at various centres
- May be expected to work outside normal office hours or on weekends, based on the needs of the programmes
