RESPONSIBILITIES
The IT ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Business Analyst plays a crucial role in the successful implementation and ongoing support of ERP systems within an organization. The function requires a combination of technical expertise, business acumen, effective communication skills, and good SAP knowledge to bridge the gap between business needs and SAP and other ERP (Systems, Applications, and Products) software's capabilities. The primary responsibility is to understand business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and leverage ERP solutions to meet business objectives. To make sure that ERP projects support and complement the strategic plans of Mediacorp business units and the organization as a whole, the role must collaborate closely with the business transformation department.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including business leaders, department heads, and endusers, to understand and document business processes and requirements
- Analyse existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement
- Work closely with the IT team to design and configure the ERP system to meet the organisation's business requirements
- Customise and tailor the ERP system to align with specific business needs
- Able to identify areas of the ERP system that do not support best practices and industry standards, and advise the business effectively
- Develop and execute test plans to validate that the ERP system meets functional and performance requirements
- Collaborate with end-users to conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and address any issues or concerns Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure they can effectively use the ERP system
- Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures
- Provide ongoing support to end-users and address any issues or concerns related to the ERP system Investigate and resolve system errors or discrepancies in a timely manner
- Stay informed about updates and new features in the ERP system
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and optimisation of business processes
- Participate in project planning and management activities related to ERP implementations or upgrades Ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and the IT team
- Provide regular updates on the progress of ERP projects to relevant stakeholders
- Collaborate with ERP vendors to address issues, obtain support, and stay informed about product roadmaps and updates
- Analyse data within the ERP system to extract meaningful insights and support decisionmaking processes
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably with a focus on ERP
- In-depth knowledge of ERP modules relevant to the business domain
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be comfortable addressing C-suite executives as well as coordinating at various levels of the business
- Ability to manage multiple projects from beginning to completion
- Must have the ability to understand the team’s challenges and develop solutions
- Be familiar with various types of project management and business analysis software
- Having knowledge of the local culture and preferably experience in media business operations
