Responsibilities:
· Conduct inspections on piping, components at site for both external and internal corrosion of piping and equipment
· Perform inspections on site for both external and internal corrosion of piping and equipment.
· Identify piping/equipment based on PFS, PEFS, or GA drawings.
· Analyze Isometric drawings to interpret dimensions, materials, piping components, and process conditions.
· Review equipment drawings to understand size, thickness, material, components, and process conditions.
· Assess the severity of corrosion/damage, including remaining thickness, size, and pattern of corrosion.
· Locate areas for non-destructive testing (NDT), coordinate with NDT contractors, and compile accurate NDT reports.
· Ensure the NDT team's work aligns with proper procedures, monitoring its quality and productivity.
· Summarize inspection history and prioritize inspection focus areas.
· Calculate corrosion rates and remaining lifespan, making maintenance and repair recommendations.
· Ensure maintenance and repair work meets quality assurance and adheres to requirements of ITP, Code/Standards.
· Supervise specialized inspection work like abseiling, drone inspection, or remote visual inspection.
· Create comprehensive inspection reports and maintain all records in the WIMS system promptly.
· Determine the next inspection interval and its scope.
· Plan daily, weekly, and monthly inspection schedules, reporting progress to engineers.
· Gather operational conditions from operation and process technologists.
· Adhere to company procedures, safety regulations, and statutory requirements during inspections, equipment checks, and repair work.
Requirements:
· Diploma qualified holder with at least 3 years of inspection experience in oil/petrochemical industries and relevant API certificates (API570 or API510) OR have a minimum of six years inspection experience in oil/petrochemical industries
· Able to perform QA of all piping/equipment repair work and liaise with contractor, maintenance & operation personnel
· Ability to interpret basic NDT (radiography, UT, PT, MPI) results
· Ability to review the working procedures, ITP
· Knowledge of pressure equipment and piping manufacturing processes is added advantage
· Must have PCN level 2/ ISO 9712 or NAS 410 certification.
