Global Energy Management & Sales (GEMS) Overview
The Global Energy Management & Sales (GEMS) business unit is the fully integrated trading arm of the ENGIE Group (~100 000 employees). GEMS teams (~3 500 employees) manage a large and highly diversified energy portfolio, including electricity, natural gas, biomass, LNG and other fuels, CO2 and environmental products, and provide a range of trading risk management solutions to all types of market participants in Europe, Asia Pacific and in the Americas. GEMS manages the B2B supply business within ENGIE, including supply contracts and Power Purchase Agreements.
Within the GEMS business unit, the Asia PACific Business Platform (BP APAC) is managing and developing the group’s trading activities for the regions around two main pillars: risk management / market access and green solutions.
The Operational Excellence Expertise Centre act as Gatekeeper of GEMS operational standards, key driver of continuous and sustainable improvements on the front to accounting chain, provider of a framework and tools within which new business initiatives can be deployed in a secured way, quality achieved through quantitative measurement using the Operational Risk Management tools.
Role Purpose
The purpose of the role is to drive the development of GEMS APAC with an objective of simplification and standardization while being an enabler for business development and strategic implementation.
The role acts as transversal point of contact between GEMS teams in Asia (Singapore, Japan, Australia) and Europe, in a project management mode (project governance management), in a business analyst capacity or as an advisor to the managers in their journey to business optimization and development.
The role also coordinates the validation of new products or new businesses within GEMS APAC, managing all stakeholders from Front Office (initiating the request) to support and risk functions.
The role is a key participant in the implementation of BP APAC business development plan.

- This role has no budgetary delegations.
- The role is the gatekeeper of GEMS operational standards
Responsibilities
You may be requested to perform duties outside of the listed scope of responsibilities from time to time, as required.
As Senior Business Transformation Manager, you will lead the transformation of GEMS APAC platform by notably :
Project Management and Organization:
- Scoping of projects
- Managing strategic Projects / Programs
- Setting up and running front to accounting project governance
- Ensuring central business project coordination in close partnership with Business Platform, Expertise Centers and IT
New Business and products definition and validation:
- Coordinating new products, models, business initiatives or Legal Entities creation / closure
- Owning the approved products classification referential (Cartool)
- Using GEMFORCE as a corner stone to drive new business approval workflow
- Coordination with IT BusOp for implementation in related systems (mainly OT)
Business transformation and continuous improvment:
- Reviewing and assessing existing processes / activities
- Driving the definition of target processes leveraging on business Subject Matter experts located in each of the teams
- Accompanying the teams in their improvement journey and promoting a strong risk management culture
- Monitoring remediation plans
You will have to develop strong partnership with all front to accounting teams in Singapore, Asia and Europe

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Tertiary degree in relevant discipline
- 10-15 years of experience as a business analyst/project manager in similar firm (consulting) or investment banks
- Proven track record of successful project delivery in similar environment
- In-depth knowledge of front to accounting processes
- Ability to lead projects, to collaborate in teams as well as to work autonomously
- Proficient analysis and delivery of presentations and documentation
- High reliability, quality and timeliness of deliverables
- Organizational and empowerment skills
- Very good data manipulation and analysis skills
