ROLE PURPOSE
As Project Regulatory Inspector, you support the Project Team for ensuring compliance with all Rules and Regulations and other requirements imposed by Company, Regulators, Clients and other relevant Stakeholders.
You are the focal point in the Shipyard for regulatory management, internally to the Project Management, and externally to the Client, Contractors, Third party and Vendors.
You work under the leadership of the Project Regulatory Manager/ Lead.
You lead the activities related to regulatory management at shipyard to provide effective support to the Regulatory Manager.
ROLE CONTRIBUTION
- Ensure compliance FPSO’s regulatory scope, including Class certificate, Statutory Certificates, and Regulatory Matrix evidencing compliance with the applicable Coastal State regulations;
- Interfaces with the Client, Local Authorities and other stakeholders for follow-up and closure of the Regulatory actions;
- Coordinate regulatory activities in line with the needs of the Project Management and Regulatory Scope of Work;
- Support the Project execution providing necessary clarifications, interpretations, reference resources and regulatory support as needed;
- Implement the regulatory processes as defined in the Regulatory Management section of GEMS;
- Verify and or follow procurement packages for ensuring packages are delivered complete with required documentation and certificates;
- Carry out audits considering Regulatory Scope of Work;
- In charge of all the regulatory related verifications at shipyard, in coordination with the Regulatory Manager;
- Review NCRs evidence provided on RM and issues corrective action;
- Acts as focal point for project regulatory queries;
- Local focal point for regulatory issues;
- Support the management of the Regulatory Permits and Licenses including all active and passive statutory requirements related to the project execution;
- The measure of your effectiveness will be:
- On time delivery and quality of required inputs documentation and reports to the satisfaction of relevant stakeholders;
- Positive results in the resolution of regulatory issues at shipyard, the project office and the Classification Society or other Third Parties;
- Full integration in the project team at shipyard – become the local referent for the Regulatory related issues and queries.

REQUIREMENTS
- Well-developed people skills – ability to interface with multiple disciplines, cultures.
- Sound knowledge of recognized international and oil and gas industry regulations, quality standards and practices.
- Master degree, Chartered Engineer preferred
- 5 years in Oil & Gas (including Projects)
- Previous experience as regulatory engineer, Classification Society Project Manager or Lead Surveyor.
- Relevant experience and knowledge on Class and flag requirements for FPSOs or Tankers.
- Relevant experience and knowledge on Guyanese and African regulations is a plus.
- Willingness to travel to Offshore Guyana if required by the project
