Job Duties:
- Be a primary legal resource for Sourcing-related contract reviews, advice and negotiations, ensuring adherence to best practices and policies from a legal perspective.
- Assist with legal requests in relation to other day to day commercial related matters as required.
- Work closely with business teams to review and advise on the legal impact of new business initiatives, as well as day to day product related matters.
- Drafting/reviewing of standard product terms and templates for use within the AP region
- Liaise with other regional and country lawyers as well as other functions in supporting current business and new initiatives across the Asia Pacific region
- Assist in regulatory and government engagements/consultations on regulations
- Draft, negotiate and drive to completion complex commercial, technology, or strategic partnership agreements in support of business objectives
- Provide advice and guidance to business and product teams
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Strong academic credentials, including a degree from a well-recognized and reputable law school
- Minimum 5-8 years of data commercial and/or technology transactions experience, some of which must be at a top tier law firm or MNC
- Be able to work independently and interface with executive level
- Demonstrate an ability to manage and drive complex commercial and technology transactions
- Have a strong understanding of commercial, IT/ IP and privacy laws in multiple jurisdictions
- Excellent legal analytical skills with the ability to integrate legal advice and business knowledge, while providing balanced advice regarding risks and benefits
