We are looking for a proactive and dynamic professional to join our monitoring team to provide support and monitorbatch jobs processes for a mission critical system.
Training & mentorship will be provided on SOPs, ITSM and usage of Monitoring & Investigation tools.
Job Description
- Monitor system and batch job processing; perform 1st level problem determination and resolution; and timely escalation of issues and critical alerts,
- Assist System / Application Support engineers for system and / or batch jobs recovery,
- Setup and maintain the monitoring maintenance policy for system undergoing maintenance, to stop and resume the monitoring and alerts,
- Work closely with System / Application Support engineers in improving the system and batch monitoring and alerts,
- Participate in the Daily Operations meeting and prepare Health Check report,
- Coordinate with the Change Manager on the communication to the client for the start and end of the change activities,
- Provides 24x7 rotating shift roster support on eight (8) or twelve (12) duties. To support/ assist in extended support and / or swap of duties when there is a need such as stand-in for colleague on medical leaves and/ or support to major production issue, etc. and
- Conformance to the established standard operation procedures.
Requirements
- Has an analytical mindset and able to understand business and functional concepts
- Proactive, self-driven and able to work under pressure with a high sense of urgency,
- Ability to work effectively both independently & within a team and
- Comfortable interacting with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with working in a ticketing system,
- Experience with monitoring tools and writing scripts for automation and
- Possess SQL knowledge and capable of constructing basic SQL queries
