The Global Lead for supplier quality is responsible for the effective management and control of our supply base in order to ensure we are receiving quality parts that meet our specifications and are on time. This leader will minimize our cost variance due to supplier poor quality by developing and standardizing our supplier management systems, detailing the quality requirements for supplier approval, standardizing and enabling the dormakaba part approval process (dkPAP), and ensuring cross-functional collaboration and communication pathways between workstreams.
Key tasks :
- Establish and lead global supplier quality systems across global plant and procurement operations.
- Reduce cost variance due to supplier poor quality by effectively developing and deploying suppliers, standardizing incoming quality processes for purchased parts, increased accountability to supply base for poor quality performance and effective implementation of chargeback policies and procedures ensuring 100% recovery from costs incurred due to poor supplier quality.
- Lead and develop a high-performing and diverse team of global supplier quality engineers, enhancing the organization quality culture through coacking and technical engagement, enruing the timely information flow to assigned team members, stakeholders and suppliers for the asigned team.
- Global implementation and standardization of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), accounting for categorical and change nature risks. Driving improvement of supplier first pass yield dkPAP, approval time, and safe launch success in the case of NPI.
- Support the monitoring, reporting and improvement of key supplier KPIs. understand root cause(s) of changes in metrics, identify trends and associated action plans. developing and nurturing a long-term collaborative culture with strategic supply base.
