RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overall supporter for the EPS (Evonik Production System) philosophy and programs in the plants in the Asia Pacific Region.
- Ensures conformity of regional approach aligned with the global EPS approach.
- Conducts checks of EPS programs and projects.
- Oversees and supervises, as appropriate, EPS consultants who may be hired to support plants on their implementation that require some additional external assistance.
- Coordinates the Training and Qualification of EPS coordinators assigned to the plants and for Training & Education of the Site Managers and Directors overseeing EPS programs, as needed for their leadership of EPS. Serves as a mentor and Coach for the EPS coordinators.
- Support for harmonization of the Global EPS systematic. Responsible for sharing Good Practices and systems for the Program together with relevant stakeholders in the region and globally. Stays in close communication and visits/shares knowledge as appropriate.
- Develops EPS Coordinators in the plants to attain self-sustaining level of expertise and supports the development of additional plant personnel for succession planning purposes.
- Supports plants by installing a Continuous Improvement culture and a Learning Organization culture. Develops strategies to include all parts of a plant organization working in an integrated harmonious fashion to meet common goals.
- Challenges the plant EPS Coordinators to consider good practices and consider new ways of thinking. Facilitates the sharing of knowledge between EPS coordinators and sites.
- Supports sites with the development of a Plant vision, Road Map and KPI’s for EPS in alignment with strategy. Develops an implementation strategy as well as supports tracking progress of the implementation.
REQUIREMENTS
- Masters or Bachelor degree in engineering of natural science
- At least 8-10 years experience in key processes of production management, e.g. operations, maintenance, logistics, ESH, quality
- Knowledge of operations management systems (e.g. TPM, Lean Management)
- Profound knowledge of the Evonik Production System
- Experience in working with continuous improvement methods and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, PDCA, Problem solving tools, etc)
- Good communication skills in intercultural context on different hierarchy levels
- Willingness for international travel and collaboration
