Requirement
- Proven background in B2B sales and operational roles within the logistics or supply chain management sector.
- Demonstrated success in developing sales plans and analysing profitability of prospects, Proficient in analyzing both financial and operational data.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the management of two warehouses, encompassing 6,000 square meters of outdoor space and 14,600 square meters of indoor space, while leading a team of 10 warehouse personnel.
- Ensure strict adherence to legal, customs, and industry certifications/standards for local, bonded, and licensed warehousing, as well as material handling, shipping requirements, and safety regulations. Stay informed about existing and new legislation, advising senior management on necessary actions.
- Drive warehouse operations by coordinating two core teams: material handling, customer service, and records keeping. Maintain smooth coordination of receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations in accordance with established plans.
- Collaborate closely with key customer leaders and internal departments to plan workflow, adapt to changes, drive improvement initiatives, and swiftly resolve any issues.
- Implement and monitor security procedures and protocols to safeguard warehouse operations and contents.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting physical counts when necessary and reconciling with the data storage system.
- Ensure the physical condition of the warehouse and open yard is well-maintained by planning and implementing new design layouts, inspecting equipment, and initiating repair or replacement orders.
- Meet financial objectives by promptly submitting billing instructions, verifying claims and costs, and preparing the annual budget. Monitor expenditures, analyze variances, and take corrective actions as needed.
- Cultivate a skilled warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and providing training to employees. Maintain team performance through coaching, counseling, and discipline, as well as ongoing monitoring and appraisal.
- Stay updated with professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing relevant publications, and participating in professional societies.
