What's in the Job
- Perform simple troubleshooting, inspection, and repairing malfunctioned payment terminals, or similar equipment.
- Repair or refurbish unit by de-solder, solder, or rework components on Printed Circuit Board (PCB), and replacement of parts or assemblies.
- Test with instruments, such as voltmeters, to complement reworks.
- Clearing and resetting of security certificates.
- Installing or upgrading operating system software whenever needed.
- Fully disassemble units to salvage working or functional parts.
- Perform functional test to ensure proper functioning of equipment.
- Meet tight and demanding repair production schedule and delivery requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and ensure housekeeping are upkept within repair facility.
- Provide mentorship to help peers to evolve and overcome issues.
- Perform other duties assigned.
The Candidate
- NITEC or equivalent qualification or work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of similar work experience.
- Mechanical, technical, strong communication skills and is comfortable to spread knowledge.
- Able to work rotating shifts.
- Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small.
- Colour vision is required as handling electrical and electronic products contains colour-coded wiring.
- On the job training will be provided.
