This position reports into the Accountant and will be directly responsible for general ledger accounting, statutory and management reporting, year-end reporting, audits, sales pricing maintenance in SAP and all other matters assigned; taking ownership in preparing and coordinating inputs from other stakeholders to deliver in a timely and accurate manner.
Job Description
- Liaise with various internal business partners to prepare monthly accrual entries. Prepare balance sheets schedules and proactively follow up/resolve old outstanding items.
- Review the accuracy of GST posting and educate the financial accounting and customer service teams on the correct GST treatment. Prepare GST filing on an accurate and timely manner. Respond to GST/ACAP queries from IRAS and tax agent and work with various stakeholders to ensure GST rate change is completed in system (2023 and 2024).
- Assist with the preparation of yearly budget and quarterly forecast for income statement, balance sheet and cashflow statements.
- Responsible for the following finance closing activities:
- Responsible for APAC pricing and standard cost maintenance. Identify areas of improvement for existing process.
- Assist with all year-end external audit matters and preparation of financial statements.
- Be the point of contact between Finance and Supply Chain to advise the correct accounting treatment (e.g. billing, credit note, excise duty, material write-off) for inventory related matters
- Year-end Group reporting pack & related holding company audit reporting pack (e.g. prepare assigned components of the reporting pack for review; coordinate with team members on different components required)
Skills and Experience
- Min. 4-5 years of experience in Accounting
- SAP experience will be an added advantage
- FMCG experience will be an added advantage
- Strong Accounting knowledge and able to work independently.
- Good interpersonal skill, team player, meticulous and fast learner.
