RESPONSIBILITIES
The principal engineer will be responsible on the daily maintenance and operation of the BE Shared Service infra system. The duties include: -
- Install, configure and support Storage, Servers and Blades system Infrastructure.
- Maintain and support of Video and Audio recording system.
- Maintain and support MS SQL and MySQL Database.
- Maintain and support Aspera File Transfer Servers.
- Design, management and maintenance of virtualise infrastructure.
- Conduct regular patches of all managed systems.
- Support Windows Servers OS and RHEL and Ubuntu Linux operating systems.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide support to user on IT system infrastructure running Windows and Linux platforms.
- Administrate and support of Active Directory and DNS.
- Maintain and support Backup and System monitoring infrastructure.
- Respond promptly on incidents and provide support requests.
- Maintain and support of files transfer and provide support to end users.
- Maintain, upgrade and monitor of on premises virtual infrastructure.
- Conduct regularly patches and ensure all system are patched in a timely manner.
- Provide support to Cloud-based infrastructure.
- Undertaking projects or ad-hoc tasks as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science / Computer Engineering or related subject.
- 10+ years working experience in IT support or a related field.
- Professional in IT Certifications such as MCSA, RHCSA, VCP, ITIL, SAA-C03 will be added advantage.
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good working experience with Windows Active Directory, PKI and DNS Server.
- Experience in Cisco Unified Computing System and switching Fabric.
- Possess strong knowledge of virtualization in VMWare and Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, RHEL OS and network protocols.
- Ability to write PowerShell and Shell scripting.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with Kubernetes, open-shift and containers will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skill.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
