As the Team Leader, your primary responsibility will be to lead and manage a team of employees to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant. You will be responsible for overseeing the work of other team members and ensuring that they are meeting the standards for quality and customer service.


Your specific duties may include:

  1. Assisting the manager: You will be responsible for assisting the restaurant manager with daily operations, such as opening and closing procedures, scheduling, and inventory management.
  2. Providing training and guidance: You will be responsible for training new team members and providing guidance to existing team members. This may involve demonstrating proper food handling and preparation techniques, as well as providing feedback on customer service and performance.
  3. Ensuring customer satisfaction: You will need to interact with customers, handle complaints, and ensure that all team members are delivering high-quality customer service.
  4. Preparing and serving food: You will be responsible for preparing and serving food according to the standards for quality and safety.
  5. Maintaining a clean and safe environment: You will need to ensure that the restaurant is clean and well-maintained, adhering to all health and safety regulations. This may involve cleaning and sanitizing equipment, monitoring inventory levels, and maintaining equipment.
  6. Handling cash and credit card transactions: You will be responsible for handling cash and credit card transactions, ensuring that all transactions are accurate and following the procedures for handling cash.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  1. Strong leadership skills;
  2. Excellent communication abilities (ability to speak Mandarin and/or Malay is a plus);
  3. A passion for customer service; and
  4. A degree from a university is preferred.

Additionally, you should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask effectively. You should also expect to work shifts and on weekends. Prior experience in the restaurant industry or in a leadership role may be helpful, but is not always necessary.
