Job Description:
· Support Application teams with release deployment activities
· Verify and sanitize database scripts to ensure best practices are followed
· Assist with troubleshooting issues and propose resolutions
· Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in database systems
· Assist software developers with indexing strategies, query tuning/optimization and schema refinement
· Participate in database design and schema development
· Guide colleagues in database / SQL related tasks
Qualifications:
· 3+ years of database / SQL centric experience
· Diploma/Degree of Computer Engineering or Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
· Experience with Oracle (including SQL Plus) and MS SQL Server RDBMS
· Receptive in learning other database technologies where needed
· Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities
· Familiarity with database migration and replication technologies
· Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical stakeholders
· Strong attention to detail
