The Marketing Officer will work collaboratively with the Marketing and Admissions team in the execution and evaluation of marketing strategies that contribute to growth of student enrolments at Curtin Singapore.
A key focus of this role will be in executing recruitment and conversion activities to drive increased student enrolments. This will be achieved by supporting partnership management, development and execution of sales and marketing strategy, and tactical execution of lead conversion strategies.
Key Result Areas:
• Participate in student recruitment activities including, but not limited to, training, events, handling enquiries and student conversion
• Liaise with applicants, education agents onshore and offshore and Navitas Source Country Offices in regard to applications, Student’s Pass, applicant information and enrolments such as:
- Implement interaction through various communication channels
- Manage or respond to enquiries or applications with relevant stakeholders
- Provide information packs to stakeholders
- Identify and allocate applicant enquiries to relevant stakeholders
- Facilitate resolution of issues raised by relevant stakeholders
• Work closely with the Admissions team regarding student applications and acceptance process
• Provide pre-departure and arrival support for international students
• Contribute to student recruitment targets and provide input on forecasts against key initiatives and enrolment targets
• Provide input into the development of annual marketing plans, recruitment targets and budget
• Provide support on data collection for market and competitor research
• Provide support in building and nurturing relationships with agents, schools/ institutions, industry, and governments
• Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory framework
• Domestic and international travel may be required
Qualifications and Selection Criteria
Essential
• Relevant qualifications and demonstrated work experience within the education industry or related area
• Demonstrated commitment to the provision of a high quality client-focused service and develop sales and recruitment strategies that deliver against agreed student targets
• Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of tasks with competing priorities in an organized manner and within strict deadlines
• High level interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills including Business level written and oral capability in English and Mandarin
• Ability to demonstrate innovative thinking and proactive work habits including an eye for detail
• Proven ability to work autonomously and collaborate as a team player
• Flexible attitude to work including a willingness to work outside of normal office hours in support of recruitment activities
• High level computer skills including an understanding of and experience in using various student management systems
Desirable
• Success in a sales role within the Higher Education sector, within Singapore or internationally
• Knowledge of admissions policies and procedures pertaining to administration, Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority policies for Student’s Pass and Committee for Private Education policies
• Experience of working effectively within a matrix structure to ensure competing demands are met
• Familiarity with lead automation systems, Marketo, Salesforce, or Power BI
