MRP Planner (Inventory/ Supply Chain/ BioTech/ Pharma)
Duration: 6 Months Contract (Renewable / Convertible)
Location: Tuas
Salary : Up to $6000 depending on experience
Our client is a fully integrated, global immunotherapy powerhouse who have been working on automated and digitized processes and build continuously capabilities for specialized manufacturing, either for individualized vaccines or for large-scale products like COVID-19 vaccine.
Responsibilities
- Bill of materials: Be the owner of the Bill of materials, by setting up the bill of materials and keeping track of all changes
- Material Onboarding: Work effectively with procurement and quality teams to support on time materials onboarding according to project timelines. This activity will be one of your key roles in project phase.
- Material Requirement Planning (MRP): Work closely with demand planning teams to capture accurate forward looking production demands, perform timely MRP runs. Align material availability with production schedules, preventing production delays or bottlenecks.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory to prevent shortages or excess stock, optimizing inventory turnover while minimizing carrying costs by defining the inventory strategy for raw materials.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure favourable terms, timely deliveries, and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain, such as shortages, transportation delays, or quality issues, and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks.
- Data Analysis: Utilize various software tools and ERP systems to analyse data, generate reports, and make informed decisions to optimize material flow and inventory management.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancements within the materials planning function.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including warehouse, production, and quality, to align material planning with overall business goals.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies related to materials management and procurement.
- Contribute to the set up and configuration of an ERP system and other required software solutions for material planning aspects.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Science or Supply Chain disciplines is ideal
- Solid understanding of material requirement planning processes; ideally with 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning processes
- 3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industries
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving procedures with a proclivity towards building processes and capabilities
- Experience in working with ERP systems
- An understanding of GxP process and procedures
- Comfort operating in an environment with ambiguity and competing priorities
- Curiosity to ask questions and respectfully challenge the status quo
- APICS certification is ideal
