ADDITIONAL JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Copyright Operations Specialist, you will work with a cross-functional group of tech and legal teams to tack on challenges. You will design and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of our key programs in GenAI, resolve unique legal challenges at the cutting edge of internet and copyright law, scale and streamline complex workflows, and support and educate internal stakeholders. You can balance the legal and regulatory requirements we face around the world with the needs of YouTube's users, partners and advertisers, and are passionate about fighting abuse and protecting the vibrancy of user generated content.
Qualifications
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review, manage, and improve escalation processes and other legal matters of high impact, risk, and complexity with limited oversight.
- Act as subject matter expert and primary point person on multiple project areas, including GenAI and escalations processes.
- Coordinate cross-functionally on process and policy outreach, maintaining feedback loop with stakeholders to identify issues and drive further improvement.
- Implement recommendations outside of established procedures to solve problems.
- Organize escalation information documentation for the benefit of internal and cross-functional teams, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in content policy, legal/anti-abuse/customer support operations, reviewing content, answering user questions, or working with vendor reviewers.
- Ability to work non-standard, on-call rotation weekend, and holiday hours.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with executive communication, both written and verbal.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
- Demonstrable experience with copyright law and other legal principles.
- Excellent business judgment and outstanding influencing and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners.
- Analytical skills, including using data to drive strategy and business action.
- Demonstrable proficiency with SQL (e.g., joins, aggregations, window functions).
