Duties and Reposibilities
- Assist Sales Managers in identifying leads, acquiring new business and developing positive long term relationships with travel agents, tour operators, schools, community groups and companies
- Prepare and customise proposals, meeting client’s needs and attraction’s guidelines of profitability.
- Recommend and implement sales initiatives which drive visitation and sales to achieve budget goals.
- Work in conjunction with Sales Managers to host site visits, event preparation and execution to grow, manage guest experience and satisfaction.
- Co-ordinate and ensure delivery of event catering requirements in conjunction with operations and food and beverage teams.
- Work with the marketing team to review products and service offerings on a regular basis
- Update, document and implement the standard operating procedure for all booking and sales processes.
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisors
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, hospitality and tourism, or related field.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a corporate sales or business development role ideally gained in a visitor attraction, tour and travel, hospitality or MICE industry. Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Executive position.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be proactive and goal focused to achieve sales targets
- Able to work late nights, weekends and public holidays when required
