Summary
As the successful candidate, you will manage the Controlling Solutions team, which aims to facilitate financial and operational reporting for a variety of internal stakeholders via BI tools such as Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC). You will prioritise and coordinate the maintenance and development of compelling performance dashboards and ad-hoc reports, working closely with end-users and relevant IT teams. You play a pivotal part in preparing reporting packages and ad-hoc analysis to upper management. You and your team are highly involved in the Budget and Forecast process. You define priorities and objectives for your team in close collaboration with the Business Controlling & Analytics Director and assess performance and development of your team members.
What you'll do
- Manage a team of three Business Controllers who focus on building reporting dashboards and operational reports via OAC. Mentor and coach direct reports and wider Business Controlling & Analytics team
- Be a key custodian of the organisation’s KPI framework and manage the end-to-end flow of report requests enabling end-users across the organisation to make informed decisions with the right tools at the right time
- Work closely with end-users to collect and understand reporting requirements, and with IT teams to prepare data models and deliver compelling reports and dashboards
- Coordinate the preparation of financial figures for month-end reporting and con-tribute to the overall reporting package for upper management
- Contribute extensively to the Budget & Forecast process, notably by coordinating ETLs between the financial systems and reporting deliverables, supporting end users, and working closely with Business Controlling team
- Lead digitalization projects to standardize, simplify and/or automate processes and reporting
- Supervise maintenance of the cost centre structure in financial systems to align with changes in the business and reporting requirements
- Present analysis results to all levels in the organisation and train end users in BI tools
- Be an expert in systems used for reporting and budgeting purposes
What you'll receive
- University degree holder, major in Business, Accounting & Finance, IT, or other related discipline
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle Analytics Cloud or equivalent visualisation tool, SQL, Anaplan
- 5+ years of relevant working experience, managerial and/ or digitalization projects experience highly preferred
- Excellent MS Office skills (Excel Macro and VBA preferred)
- Experience in financial/operational reporting and KPIs
- Affinity to numbers and financial systems with a keen interest in business performance and opportunities for improvement
- Willing to lead and embrace change, proactive, and well organised with a focus on detail and accuracy
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills, fluent English speaking
