Position Overview:
As a Executive Supervisor Housekeeper you will be responsible for daily cleaning and overseeing the cleanliness of guest rooms assigned to you in accordance with our guidelines and SOPs. You will report directly to the Room and Building Operations Manager. Apart from cleaning, you will also perform audits of vacant rooms and buildings under management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cleaning and Stocktake
- Perform room cleaning and inspections as assigned.
- Maintain cleanliness according to Heritage Collection’s in-house standards.
- Promptly report any instances of lost or damaged linen, furniture, fixtures, equipment, or maintenance issues
- Assist with urgent guest requests regarding room maintenance during the night shift.
- Conduct linen inventory count
- Sort, tally, and record the quantity of clean and dirty linen
- Inspect laundry returned by our laundry vendor to confirm their cleanliness and usability condition.
- Fulfill any additional tasks as delegated.
2. Inspection and Maintenance:
- Conduct routine inspections of vacant guest rooms, public spaces, and other facilities to assess cleanliness, maintenance requirements, and adherence to brand standards.
- Identify and document any maintenance issues, such as broken fixtures, faulty equipment, or areas needing repairs.
- Prioritize and coordinate maintenance tasks with relevant departments to ensure prompt resolution.
3. Ad Hoc Duties:
- Follow strict SOPs to assist guests who may did not bring their keycards or retrieve their mobile key
- Respond to emergency situations (for example false alarm fire alarms) following established procedures and protocols.
4. Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate pertinent information to the day shift team for a smooth transition of operations.
- Collaborate with the day shift housekeeping department to manage room inventory, ensuring accurate status and availability.
5. Physical fitness
- You are required to move between buildings at night to perform your tasks and attend to guests requests. You must be fit and like being on the go.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma or equivalent in a relevant field
- Previous experience in a hotel housekeeping or night duty role is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide exceptional customer service and collaborate with team members.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of hotel operations, policies, and industry standards.
- Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
