The Senior HR Executive will be responsible for managing the payroll for the group of companies through the company-appointed payroll vendor. In the first year, the ideal candidate will play a pivotal role to support the implementation of a global HRIS system. Supporting the HR team on reports preparation and HR-related initiatives and projects. The ideal candidate must have proven track record in payroll processing and administration and experience in end-to-end implementation of a global HRIS.
Role and Responsibilities:
- The Senior HR Executive will liaise and work closely with payroll vendor to ensure the monthly payroll computations and ad-hoc payroll computations are accurate and in compliance with Singapore labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Ensure the accuracy of payroll data by verifying data against supporting documents.
- Liaise and manage payroll vendors in overseas offices to review and process payroll for overseas employees in compliance with local tax and labour laws. Check overseas payroll reports.
- Ensure employee expense claims are accurately recorded in the payroll system for payment.
- Handle monthly statutory submissions.
- Annual income tax preparation and declarations for employees in compliance with local tax regulations.
- Provide detailed monthly payroll reports and journals to finance.
- Administer contracts and fees related to the company directors.
- Assist in global HRIS implementation, aligning it with organizational needs and best practices.
- Help migrate data from the legacy system to the new HRIS, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Continuously review processes and systems for operational excellence, including system user acceptance testing.
- Conduct training sessions to educate users on HRIS functionality and provide ongoing support to maximize system utilization.
- Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS platform in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system updates, enhancements, and integrations.
- Support the HR team in pre-hire, on-boarding, off-boarding, and training records administration.
- Support the HR team in preparing reports, analysis and surveys preparation.
- Identify opportunities for HR operations transformation by leveraging technology for increased effectiveness and efficiency.
- Ensure data integrity, control and compliance in HR operations.
- Handle HR-related queries and perform any other ad-hoc duties as required.
Desired Skills and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource, Business Administration or similar specialization.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing, which includes managing payroll vendor.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance standards, ensuring accurate and lawful compensation to employees.
- Proactive, resourceful, highly organized with a keen attention to detail. Capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Demonstrate high integrity standards in handling confidential and salary-related information.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with colleagues, employees and external vendors.
- Tech-savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MsExcel) and various technology tools for efficient work.
- Prior experience working with a global HRIS systems, such as Workday, SuccessFactors, Ceridian or similar platforms, showcasing the ability to navigate and utilize these systems effectively.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changes and challenges while maintaining efficiency and quality in work.
