As an Information and Research Specialist with this global firm, your key responsibilities will include:
Legal Research:
- Conducting in-depth legal research to analyse regulatory frameworks and legal developments.
- Providing business research support, including the analysis of companies and the preparation of research reports for due diligence purposes.
Horizon Scanning:
- Offering comprehensive horizon scanning to stay abreast of information relevant to legal practice.
- Ensuring current awareness by regularly updating colleagues on pertinent legal information.
Training and Guidance:
- Providing training and guidance on legal information sources, business information sources, databases, and internal systems.
- Conducting new joiner training sessions and refreshers to enhance team members' skills.
Vendor Management:
- Managing vendor relationships to optimize resources and negotiating contracts for information services.
Global Support:
- Supporting colleagues globally on wider Knowledge & Learning initiatives.
Database Skills:
- Proficient in utilizing various databases, such as: Legal Centric; Mergermarket; Debtwire; Practical Law; Lexis Nexis; Factiva; Filings Expert; Westlaw; Orbis
- Your role is crucial in ensuring the availability of accurate and timely information, supporting legal and business decision-making processes within the organization.
About you:
- 6-8+ years of relevant experience
- Law firm or professional services background useful, but not a pre-requisite.
- Demonstrable track record of diligent, organised work
- First-class communication and relationship skills to enable effective working with a variety of stakeholders
