Job Description & Requirements
The successful incumbent is responsible for the supervision of maintenance, servicing, and repair of all machines in the laundry plant, recycle plant, and boiler room. He/she will ensure periodic maintenance, servicing, and timely repair & restoration of the machines for the smooth running of the laundry operations.
Responsibilities
- To ensure the availability of machines for daily production through preventive maintenance and scheduled maintenance. Examples of machines are laundry machines, low-tension switch gears water pumps, air compressors, boiler systems and recycle plant.
- To improve the machine efficiency, safety, and quality output by carrying out appropriate modifications for the machinery or changing some repairing and maintenance methods and procedures.
- To perform maintenance and repair of machines and troubleshoot machines' faults.
- To prolong the life span of machines or expensive parts by performing regular preventive maintenance.
- To be responsible for the safety of maintenance staff.
- To supervise and ensure contractors adhere to the safety regulations and prison rules and regulations.
- To supervise and ensure the timely completion of assignments by the contractors.
- Maintain all workshop tools and equipment in orderly manner.
- To ensure Workplace Safety & Health.
- To maximize production capacity, productivity and quality.
Requirements:
- Possess a Diploma in Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or ITC in electronics
- Boiler License Class 1 / 2 preferred
- Boiler experience in the laundry/linen services industry preferred
- Experienced in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic-related problems, and is able to read all the above drawing
- Preferably know how to read Auto-Cad and Line Drawing
- Work Location: East-Loyang/Changi
