Job Decription:
The Health Informatics Officer (HIO) will be responsible for supporting the Medical Informatics Office to manage clinical information systems that assist clinicians in decision-making and the management of patients. The HIO participates in activities required for successful design, implementation, maintenance and support of the clinical systems. The HIO will work closely with IT Project/Systems Team to buil and implement solutions that meet user requirements for clinical orders, medication administration and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent uset to work with IHIS and vendors on design, UAT and implementation
- Assist in EMR project implementation
- Engage users in gathering information
- Train users in the use of Electronis Medical Records (EMR)
- Able to help IT configure electronics medical records (EMR)
- Implementing medical information systems
- Help to develop business continuity practices and processes, including downtime manual clinical operations
- Coordinate operations on the ground during system outages
- Engage Clinicians to improve awareness of medical informatics and explain informatics plan
- Engage clinicians to gather user requirement and feedback, including incorporating best practices into decision support
- Responsive to use needs and feedbacks
- Participate in the development and maintenance of e-training materials for clinical IT systems
- Provide secretarial support for all projects and meetings involving Medical Informatics group, including coordinating members, booking venues, writing minutes
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in any discipline
- Experience in Clinical Information System, IT project management and exeperience in healthcare environment would be an added advantage
- Comfortable to work with various stakeholders
- Able to work well independantly
- Possess good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
