RESPONSIBILITIES
About the Job
Peacehaven is hiring a Finance Manager to oversee the Peacehaven Group finances. The group consists of a 430-bedded resident home, 4 day-care centres, Active Aging Centres and a leading academy in dementia care. We have a pipeline of exciting expansion projects to raise the standards of elders care, nursing standards in Singapore and beyond. We are on a major digital transformation that include robotic assisted therapy, digital auxiliary care services, AI and analytics.
The Finance Manager will assist senior management in making critical business decisions by analysing and presenting key financial data, and will lead the Accounts Department supporting Peacehaven group.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare management reports with written narratives to support analysis and findings
- Perform financial modelling process to analyse proposals on financial and non-financial return
- Prepare annual, operating and capital budgets
- Analyse trends, possible improvements, areas of risks, financing and any key issues relating to the business; and provide recommendations for improvements
- Developing long-term business plans based on these reports.
- Formulate the organisation’s cash management solutions
- Liaise with external auditors for statutory audits
- Review and assess audit findings from the auditors, and ensure all exceptions and issues are addressed accurately
- Develop internal control system and review financial policies and standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with policies of The Salvation Army, Peacehaven Group and all statutory requirements
Operations of Accounts Function
- Provide leadership and supervision to the Accounts Department to ensure smooth accounting operations.
- Assist the Executive Director, or appointed liaison, and the Social Work department to recommend and review fee structures in accordance with Salvation Army and governmental policy
- Manage and report data for all government funding including MOH Recurrent Funding, Medifund, IDAPE, Eldershield, etc.
- Manage and maintain list of PA residents and regularly notify Executive Director of burden of costs related to such admissions and advise bad debts write-off
- Prepare and submit financial and statistical reports for all government subventions
- Timely submission of funding documents
- Establish internal controls for purchasing
- Degree in Accountancy, ACCA or equivalent
- At least 10 years of experience as a staff accountant or equivalent
- Diploma holder with the proven experiences setting up a full finance operation, and managing an operating budget of $20million to $50million is welcome
- Proven working experience in management accounting
- Prefer CMA certification or MBA
- Good knowledge of Oracle systems and experience in the healthcare industry will be an added advantage
- Good interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
