As a senior regional leader within the JLL Global HSSE function, this individual will be accountable for leveraging existing HSSE expertise and resources with APAC Work Dynamics and Property & Asset Management (PAM) as part a single connected and effective global HSSE function. The successful candidate will be capable of meeting consistent goals which are continuously stretched in pursuit of our safety and sustainability ambitions. The most important objective of this role will be ensuring that our employees and sub-contractors across APAC region return home safely at the end of their workday. This will require a sustained reduction of incidents and injury rates across our JLL APAC businesses, and engagement with the wider APAC Work Dynamins and APAC Markets business communities in raising awareness and taking accountability for personal safety and wellness.
What this job involves
This role reports directly to the Global HSSE Lead, with regular reporting to the Regional Work Dynamics and PAM Leadership Teams, and will have accountability for implementation of the global HSSE program across all APAC operations
The Regional HSSE Lead (APAC) will work closely with the regional leaders of our Operations, Accounts, HR, Legal, Supply Chain, Sustainability, Technology, Finance, Risk, Audit, Sales and Marketing functions
Performance
· Implement global initiatives and JLL’s corporate global HSSE strategy across the APAC business
· Oversee APAC operational execution to minimize HSSE risks, injuries, and environmental impacts.
· Report HSSE performance measurements set by the Global HSSE Lead – monitoring KRIs and strategic indicators.
· Ensure that the chosen JLL HSSE Technology is embedded across the APAC business to ensure consistent delivery systems.
Education and Affiliations
· Foster a Culture of Safety by providing effective HSSE leadership and communications and achieving regulatory compliance.
· Lead and develop the APAC regional HSSE professionals, working closely with regional account and operational leadership.
· Engage and support with key regional Client relationships.
· Support business growth by representing JLL HSSE in regional business development pursuits.
· Coach APAC HSSE professionals to grow the knowledge of the team and create clear structure with defined progression.
· Engage in APAC regional industry forums and represent JLL to relevant external audiences.
· A strong team player with the ability to be flexible in their approach and ensure that the regional HSSE teams are aligned to the global HSSE strategy and requirements
Standards
· Oversee the implementation and maintenance of global operational controls, (i.e., process, standards, procedures, and guidelines) to ensure compliance with national legal requirements, HSSE obligations and JLL’s HSSE aspirations.
· Drive the development of best practice HSSE training programs and resources
· Implement the JLL Global operating protocols for safety performance of JLL’s APAC region contractors and supply chain vendors
· Monitor regional legal requirements and ensure JLL are meeting regional HSSE statutory responsibilities and best practices to secure regulatory compliance.
· Provide regional leadership for the successful management of relevant ISO certifications for the HSSE program, while supporting growth strategies related to relevant ISO standards and/or national and industry standards.
· Implement the JLL global HSSE assurance programme across the APAC regional Work Dynamics functions and accounts to demonstrate compliance with JLL global HSSE standards.
Communication and Reporting
· High-level engagement with senior regional stakeholders to promote and assure the delivery of global HSSE programmes
· Performance reporting to the Global HSSE Lead, APAC Business COO and APAC Work Dynamics Leadership Team.
· Deliver for APAC wide safety communications, events and campaigns for the APAC region in close corporation with the wider regional APAC Operations functional leads
· Ensure effective escalation and management of HSSE accident and incident reporting within APAC, and ensure lessons learned are cascaded to minimize future risk.
· Promote HSSE successes across the APAC JLL business and wider industry forums.

Our ideal candidate will have:
· Personal passion for and commitment to HSSE excellence.
· Extensive relevant senior HSSE regional experience in one or more industry sectors where HSSE is recognized as a critical operational function. Real Estate services experience is desirable but not essential.
· Experience implementing “Best Practice” approaches in HSSE across multi-country, multi-service businesses. First-hand knowledge of delivering HSSE performance improvement in emerging and developing markets will be particularly valuable.
· Demonstrated success in effective stakeholder management to achieve sustained commitment to HSSE goals and objectives.
· Deep understanding of the HSSE regulatory environment in major markets in APAC.
· Experience of client relationship management – meeting the needs and expectations of current and prospective clients who are among the largest, most complex and demanding organizations in the world.
· An agile approach to leadership and stakeholder management – able to operate effectively in a matrix structure.
· A strong orientation to goals and measurable results.
· An excellent understanding of how to use data and analytics to demonstrate and drive continual improvement.
