Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Community Engagement and Partnerships (CEP) is responsible for leading and developing all fundraising and donor and volunteer management strategies and policies of Singapore Children’s Society and effectively advocating the charity’s cause.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a diverse team of contributors towards Organisation and department success within all regulatory requirements and internal governance policies
- Provide strategic leadership to the department on supporter recruitment and stewardship as well as stakeholder education
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies and plans which shall be continually reviewed and adapted where necessary, to raise funds in support of the Organisation’s goals and service strategy
- Lead the development and implementation of any new fundraising and support initiatives in positioning the department for growth
- Lead the development and delivery of plans for acquiring and retaining new donors and volunteers
- Build and maintain relationships with major donors and partners
- Develop business and professional networks for philanthropic support
- Lead and ensure quality and effectiveness of fundraising events and campaigns
- Strategize and improve our digital marketing efforts and social media presence
- Monitor developments and trends in the sector and update the Society’s plans, strategies, policies and processes as required
- Oversee the production of all relevant materials, including grant and donor proposals, internal and external reports, and marketing communications collaterals
- Lead the department in ensuring the strict protection of all personal data maintained by the department
- Report to and work closely with the Board and Standing Committee on community engagement and partnerships matters
Requirements
- Degree holder with a minimum of 12 years of related working experience; with at least 5 years in a leadership position
- Preferably knowledgeable and familiar with the non-profit, sales or marketing sector, with a proven track record of driving results
- Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Chinese would be an advantage to engage Chinese-speaking donors and volunteers
- Prepared to be highly strategic yet also operational at the same time
- Analytical and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritise while managing multiple projects and tasks
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM system will be an advantage
- Knowledge and understanding of social media marketing and other digital marketing tactics
- Self-starter, highly organised, meticulous, enthusiastic and passionate team player
