Job Overview:
As an Enterprise Architect, you will be a key player in designing and implementing robust networking and infrastructure solutions for project delivery. This role goes beyond traditional IT architectures, encompassing a broad spectrum of technologies to drive the organization's strategic goals. Your expertise will contribute to shaping the technology landscape for optimal performance and scalability.
Responsibilities:
Network:
· Develop and implement comprehensive network architecture designs.
· Optimize existing network infrastructure for performance, reliability, and scalability.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of networking solutions.
· Include resiliency for complete backbone or LAN, including campus and data centre layers.
Infrastructure:
· Design and implement efficient and scalable virtual and SAN architectures.
· Evaluate and select appropriate technologies to enhance overall system performance.
· Ensure alignment of systems architecture with business objectives.
· Build resiliency within all aspects of the infrastructure design.
Cloud Integration:
· Architect, design, and implement cloud-based solutions, considering scalability and security.
· Evaluate and select cloud services to meet organizational needs.
· Ensure seamless integration between on-premises and cloud environments.
· Provide resiliency at all points of cloud resources being used within the environment.
Cybersecurity:
· Ensure all architectural designs include security by design.
· Identify technologies allocated to design and validate their cyber effectiveness.
Collaboration and Communication:
· Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and align technology solutions.
· Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Collaborate with IT teams to ensure architectural designs meet organizational goals.
Technology Evaluation and Integration:
· Stay informed about emerging technologies and assess their potential impact.
· Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance overall organizational capabilities.
· Provide guidance on technology selection based on organizational needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related experience.
8 years or more of proven experience designing and/or delivering enterprise data centre and cloud environments with expertise in networking, systems design, cloud integration, and cybersecurity.
In-depth knowledge of networking technologies and systems architecture.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
CCNP or higher preferred.
Virtualization experience with both, VMware and Hyper-V required.
Windows Server and Linux experience required.
