Accounts and HR Assistant (Permanent Part-time)

Founded and spearheaded by Singapore University Social Sciences students, Social Gifting is set to create a community where crafting can bring people together, enable impact and enrich communities.


Social Gifting provides free crafting sessions to co-create exquisite handmade gifts with warriors, empowering them to build on their strengths and enabling them to live an enriching life with dignity. They include warriors who are fighting their battles in autism, mental illness, physical disabilities, caregivers, and seniors in social isolation.


From 2018 to Dec 2022, with the help of 1,227 volunteers, we have conducted 515 crafting sessions to co-create 68,213 gifts with 166 differently-abled crafters and generated $455,718 alternative employment income for caregivers, differently-abled crafters and charities.

This position reports to the Founder and helps to manage daily operational activities covering the full spectrum of Office, Accounting, and HR administration.


We are looking for an Accounts and HR Assistant to support office operations including but not limited to:


- Provide day-to-day support to the operations team

- Preparation of invoices using QuickBooks and Shopify

- Monitor AR status and follow up

- Inventory management

- Handle general bookkeeping and accounting duties

- Compilation of reports for submission to IRAS

- Monthly Reconciliation of bank accounts using QuickBooks

- Timesheet administration and payroll processing using Talenox

- Manage HR functions including recruitment

- Coordinate and guide students on monthly beneficiary payment and funders report

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in any field.

• Detailed-oriented

• Good written and spoken communication skills

• Organized, independent, reliable, resourceful, willing to learn, and a good team player

• Strong multitasking and prioritisation skills with the willingness to adapt to change

• Proficient in MS office

• Experience with Quickbooks will have an added advantage

• Salary: $10 - $12/hour
