Responsibilities:
A. Trade Investments Management:
- Managing the entire Trade Investments accrual and accounting for all 3 business of RB with a full control on the rationale of variance vs approved budgets, evaluating ROI for the spends to recommend future actions, Partnership with business to optimize trade investments & maintaining a healthy balance sheet with proper justifications on accruals, etc.
- Monthly TMLV preparation & approvals with details of trade activities and explanation on variance vs latest Forecasts
- Month end: Closing the Shipments (Basis the Distributor week cover), Trade spends for the month and closing the Net revenue in the systemMonthly trade investments variance reviews of actuals vs. forecast and to understand business reasons for variances
- Monthly/Quarterly closures with Account/channel heads of Trades spends accrual and accounting the same post approvals and sufficient documentation for the same.
- Administrator & Owner of TSM System: Managing the Trade accruals in “TSM Portal” and ensures the provision made in TSM can be supported and explained, able to show the over and under provision/spend by customers. Also, ensure sales team on the function and usage of the TSM
- Review of distributor stocks and engage with supply team to optimize the stock holdings. Also, work with the sales team to identify opportunities for clear SLOB/NEP. Strengthen control in trade returns charge to trade spend bucket and perform sufficient checks to minimize the activities.
- Monthly Reporting of IMS, Customer/ Channel P&L and other reports as necessary.
- Managing the Monthly Balance sheet of Trade Spends accruals with proper supporting, Ageing of accruals, etc. Also, assist in audits for the Trade spends related GLs for internal/external audits.
B. Trade Claims & Receivable Management
- Processing claims (through the team) & ensuring processing with proper approvals/ documentation as per RB policy.
- Ensuring collections are received from the customers as per the trading terms, any outstanding ageing items needs to be taken up with Channel/ Account head for a resolution.
- Monthly update on the status of the receivables with management along with ageing & reasons for the long outstanding.
- Advise and monitor sales team to resolve any customer outstanding claim disputes.
C. Commercial Orientation and FP&A
- Forecasting projections for sales/Trade Investments by working closely with channel/ Account heads & assisting Finance Director to accurately project the year.
- Assist Business team in simulating P&Ls for New product Launch, SKUs and review them before it goes for next approval to Leadership team.
- Loading the Yearly projections (for each Forecast / Plan cycles) in Fusion for all 3 GBUs
- Fusion GMVA for the month and Forecast/ Plan Scenarios for all Bus.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Finance and/or Accountancy from a recognized university
- Preferably a member of CIMA/CPA/ACCA
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience
- Experience in managing a team of 4 to 5 people
- Knowledge of JD Edwards would be an added advantage
