- Participate in the administration of pastoral care, health, well-being, and behavior for all students, particularly those in your allocated class group.
- Carry out class instruction in conformity with the school's agreed-upon regulations and procedures.
- To promote high quality learning and rigorous learning, use a variety of acceptable teaching pedagogies and strategies, including differentiation.
- Collaborate successfully with grade level teams to teach conceptually driven inquiry-based IPC curricular units of learning.
- Provide to the Principal or Senior Leadership Team with planning documents that define learning objectives, differentiated tasks, special needs, extension, and assessment.
- Maintain professional communication with colleagues about the children, other coworkers, and the school. Maintain the confidentiality of all information.
- Ensure that everyone has equal access to opportunities.
- Ensure that students are taught, assessed, and progressed in accordance with the UK National Curriculum for English.
- Motivate children to be proud of their surroundings and to exhibit respect and concern for others, which will benefit the school as a caring community.
- Take in charge of all areas of classroom management.
- Make classroom exciting and energetic to encourage autonomous learning.
- Establish and design effective pupil assessment procedures and moderation portfolios in collaboration with the principal and staff.
- Maintain proper achievement records for each student in class and submit reports as needed.
- Create positive relationships with the parents of the children in your care.
Requirements
- Post-Graduate Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Education.
- With 1-4 years of teaching experience in the preschool setting.
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent team player
