We are looking for an Accountant / Senior Accountant to support our day-to-day accounting and operations, handle the full set of accounts, and provide guidance to the team.

This position will be based in our Singapore office and report to the Finance Manager.

About your role:

  • Perform timely and accurate month-end, year-end closing, corporate tax, and quarterly GST returns, prepare monthly detailed analysis reports, and interpret Balance sheet and P&L results for accuracy.
  • Responsible for a full set of accounting functions and activities which include preparation of journal entries, monthly payroll report, accounting schedule, financial report, and monthly cashflow.
  • Prepare all monthly closing reports, variance analysis, and management reporting.
  • Meet all AP & AR SLA and monitor daily cash flow.
  • Timely check and Approve Payboy staff claim and ensure proper receipts/documents are submitted with proper authorization.
  • Guide and liaise with the Shared Service Team (Based in KL).
  • Review and Approve Expensify (AP) data in NetSuite.
  • Ensure transactions are accurately and timely recorded in the financial system.
  • Maintain proper up-to-date filing of documents.
  • Assist in month-end stock take and annual external audit.
  • Performing bank clearing, supplier/vendor reconciliations, Integration reconciliation reports, Inventory Reconciliation reports etc.
  • Prepare Other monthly Audit Schedules and local and foreign Bank Reconciliations, FRS 116 Assessment, and review Audit Schedules prepared by Junior.
  • Handle and review all overseas inter-companies’ reconciliation reports. Must ensure all inter-companies balances are agreed monthly.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders to the completion of statutory reporting, including liaising with the auditor on audit-related queries and tax agent on tax-related queries.
  • Other Administrative works.
  • Able to apply GST compliance.
  • Review and Provide Guidance to Juniors and liaise with other departments as required.
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks assigned if necessary.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accountancy or Diploma in Finance and Accounting or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Must have experience in a full set of accounts and manage a small team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • NetSuite Accounting software knowledge will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in system integration and ERP migration will be an added advantage.
  • Must be able to handle a high volume of transactions.
  • Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Able to work as a team player and willing to learn.
  • Meticulous with good accuracy and attention to detail is a must.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to start work with short notice or immediately.
