Hays is actively recruiting an experienced Commercial Manager to lead a team of high-performing quantity surveyors for a leading contractor in Singapore. You’ll oversee the head office and site-based commercial teams.
Your new role
- Revise contracts and scopes of work
- Oversee and collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors
- Identify, document, and address contract-related risks and opportunities.
- Prepare monthly project forecasts.
- Ensure adherence to legislative and company policies.
- Supervise documentation maintenance, change control, and validate downstream alterations against initial entitlements.
- Monitor all fluctuating provisions in downstream contracts, ensuring clear communication of increases and maintenance of equivalent resource records.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a commercial management related role within an engineering or construction organisation.
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
- Experience managing commercial teams
- Experience with projects in excess of $100m.
- Experience in all stages of subcontract management
- Strong communication skills, including strong negotiation and influencing skills
