This role reports to the Manufacturing Controller for Singapore and Philippines and will ensure accurate financial data for our manufacturing site located in Singapore. The role also ensures strong financial compliance, drives productivity initiatives, and ensures the function operates at a high level of excellence. Singapore produces 2/3 of the electronics components (300 FTE) and about 1/3 of hearing aids (100 FTE) produced by WSA globally.
What you will do
• Manage site operations and financial performance through daily, weekly, monthly and yearly indicators and tools
• Ensure reliability of site gross margin and site below gross margin expenses during closing process
• Provide all supporting information for closing entries (cut off adjustments, accruals, risk estimates…)
• Ensure accuracy of management control and costing information in the ERP system of the site
• Implement key internal control processes regarding site assets
• Support plant operations Continuous Improvement and monitor site productivity plans (labour, overheads, material)
• Manage site accounting support and interface for tax credit, grants and subsidies
• Elaborate and report all information related to profitability analysis
• Support Operations management control by ensuring proper supply of all costing information
What you bring
The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background and will also be passionate and knowledgeable about leveraging technology to streamline and automate processes, to scale our work as the business continues to grow.
• A successful experience in (strategic as well as operational) accounting and controlling in a manufacturing / supply chain environment
• Experience in establishing and maintaining financial records systems in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and accounting principles for an industrial site
• Excellent understanding of local tax rules and legislation, both direct and indirect, in addition to International accounting rules (IFRS)
• Ideally exposure to brownfield for manufacturing / repair
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal – ability to clearly demonstrate and explain financial performance and underlying business drivers to a range of audiences
• Excellent people skills, capability to build excellent working relationships with corporate, and the Operations team
