Roles & Responsibilities
As an algorithm engineer at Alibaba, you will be responsible for:
- Perform research to advance the science and technology of NLP, Speech, Computer Vision and general machine learning fields, including but not limited to NLP foundational techniques, machine translation, question answering, recommendation system, ranking, deep learning, reinforcement learning, transfer learning, etc., and publish high quality research results in top-tier journals and conferences in the related fields.
- Research and develop algorithms in NLP, Speech, Computer Vision and general machine learning and optimization research to solve the business problems that is relevant to Alibaba ecosystem.
- This includes understanding the business scenarios and needs, proposing and implementing technical solutions, evaluating their performances and optimizing them continuously.
- Providing big data analysis and modeling solutions, and incubating industry solutions to expand business frontiers.
Job Qualifications:
- Master or above degree in computer science, mathematics, electronic and information engineering and other related fields.
- Proficient in C / C + +, Java, Python or other related language.
- Extensive experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches.
- Publications in top international conferences or journals are preferred.
Preferred Qualifications If you meet one of the following requirements:
- Experience in machine learning algorithms, pattern recognition, deep learning, reinforcement learning or other related fields.
- In-depth knowledge in natural language processing, knowledge graph, question answering, machine translation, speech recognition or related fields.
- Familiar with deep learning, image or video analysis and processing, 3D reconstruction and rendering, game development or related fields. Relevant work experience is preferred.
- Strong publication record: with papers published in top-tier NLP/Speech/CV/ML journals and conferences.
- Excellent results submitted to open/public NLP competitions.
- Experienced in manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources.
