The main duties of the job will be to:
Responsibilities
· Oversees and is responsible for ensuring smooth operations across all departments to meet delivery deadlines
· Work with department leads to coordinate inter-departmental schedule, makes technical decisions and ensuring resources are well maximised.
· Attend site meeting, interact with external customers to negotiate on technical and contractual matters
· Ensures the implementation of following the following: upgrading of workforce, cost effectiveness, improvement of manufacturing standard and quality control
· Monitor and aggressively control all budget elements to ensure cost-effectiveness
· Ensures that consistent process control and monitoring are maintained in all areas.
· Ensure health & safety and regulatory compliance in the production area
· Reports to Operations Manager/General Manager
Requirements
· Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
· Minimum 5 years relevant working experience in Oil & Gas industry (advantage to have welding and machining experience)
· Possess excellent leadership, planning, interpersonal communication and negotiation skills to lead a team of engineers while liaising with peers and colleagues from various departments.
· Possess the mental and physical stamina to work in a fast paced, high-growth environment
· Highly motivated, driven by excellence and having an eye for details.
· Ability to read technical drawings
· Able to perform effective troubleshooting, problem solving and team building.
