Job Summary:


The intern will assist the Partnerships department in ensuring the efficiency and smooth operations of Partnerships in the administration of scholarships, bursaries and awards, and partnerships at both national and community levels to achieve MENDAKI’s mission.

The intern will assist the Partnerships department in ensuring the efficiency and smooth operations of Partnerships in the administration of scholarships, bursaries and awards, volunteerism, and partnerships at both national and community levels to achieve MENDAKI’s mission.


Job Requirements:

Awards Management

  • To support the team in the administration of awards (scholarships and bursaries). This includes publicising the awards and organising the interview sessions for the selection of the recipients and coordinating with Finance Department to ensure proper and timely disbursement of the awards.
  • To assist to determine the premise, criteria, award amount and disbursement methods in collaboration with the sponsoring partners where available.
  • To work closely with the Volunteers team to encourage the Award recipients to be volunteers.
  • To support in developing and implementing strategies to engage and attract corporate donors to support Yayasan MENDAKI’s programmes and Education Trust Fund (ETF) scheme and/or to provide financial assistance in the form of scholarship or bursaries.
  • To support the team in networking with potential and/or existing partners (i.e. volunteers and donors) for collaboration on the provision of community resources as well as the delivery of programmes.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.


Volunteer & Grant Management

  • To support the team in developing, reviewing and implementing strategies to attract individuals to volunteer with Yayasan MENDAKI to help in the delivery of its programmes.
  • To support the team in the management of volunteers including the recruitment, training, engaging, deployment and reward of volunteers.
  • Work closely with other units in Partnerships and other departments to encourage beneficiaries to volunteer with MENDAKI.
  • To support and maintain the database of partners, donors, volunteers, and award winners.
  • Identify opportunities for partnerships with social service organisations, community stakeholders, corporate partners
  • Work closely with the Awards team to encourage the Award recipients to be volunteers.
  • Network with potential and/or existing stakeholders for collaboration on the provision of community resources as well as the delivery of programmes.
  • Assist the team with grant application process and evaluation.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
