Credit Approver - Corporate Banking
Our client is a reputable bank committed to providing comprehensive financial solutions to our corporate clients. They are seeking a seasoned and meticulous Credit Approver to join their Corporate Banking team. This role will play a pivotal part in assessing credit risks and making informed decisions to support clients' financial needs.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of corporate clients by conducting thorough analyses of financial statements, cash flows, and other relevant financial data.
- Assess industry and market risks to make informed credit decisions.
- Make credit approval decisions in accordance with delegated authority or escalate to higher management when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance to Relationship Managers and Credit Analysts on policy interpretation and implementation.
- Propose risk mitigation strategies and structures for complex credit transactions.
- Monitor the credit portfolio to identify emerging risks and take proactive measures to address potential issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- 12 years of experience in corporate credit analysis or a related financial role.
- Proven experience in credit approval and decision-making.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
