You will be responsible to help execute and contribute in new product development ideas in SATS together with Food Technologist. You will be supporting the Innovation and Product Development team on the following areas:
Product Development (60%):
- Develop and contribute new product concepts and prototypes in line with given project briefs.
- Apply & learn knowledge of food processing technologies by providing support and solutions to processes and products.
- Monitoring of shelf life for potential products.
- Conduct internal sensory within the team and gather feedback to improve development.
- Participate in meal presentation for clients, assist in coordinate and prepare for kitchen tour and events.
Research (40%):
- Conduct basic research of market trend, new food ingredients and technologies.
- Focus and conduct research for batch upscale recipes. For example, suggesting substitute ingredients to improve final product quality.
- Assist with applied-research to conduct study on functional ingredients to improve shelf life and overall organoleptic quality of products.
- Assist to conduct research & study on food fortifications to improve overall nutrition profile of products.
Requirements
- Able to commit to the internship full-time (5 days/week) for a minimum of 6 months, preferably from Jan 2024
- Currently pursuing a Degree in Food Science / Food Technology / Nutrition / related fields
- Able to work independently and as a team member
- Possess good leadership and interpersonal skills
- Possess good time management and project management skills
- Keen interest in cooking
