What you'll do:
- Conduct and coordinate clinical or epidemiologic studies in line with the department's research strategy and under the direction and supervision of the Principal Investigators and Collaborators, this may include examination of human subjects.
- Manage these research projects in a team-based, cross functional research environment, which include supervising post-doctoral students, research assistants, technical and other support staff.
- Publish research outcomes in appropriate journals of international standing and to publish and disseminate the result of research and scholarship in other reputable outlets.
- Support in grant writing
- Attend and present research findings and papers at academic and professional conferences, and to contribute to the external visibility of the department.
- Draft research reports for Principal Investigators.
- Undertake such specific roles and management functions as may be reasonably required by the Principal Investigators/Directors.
- Attend meetings and to participate in other committees and working groups within SERI/SNEC (where necessary).
- Ensure compliance with health and safety in all aspects of work.
What you'll be expected to have:
- PhD in biological sciences or related discipline
- Knowledge in ophthalmological conditions and diseases is advantageous
- Able to work independently, as well as in a team-based, cross-functional research team
Note: Eventual salary package offered will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
